Sequined-Wearing Man with Manicured Eyebrows Who Spends the Majority of His Time Dancing with Four Other Men Shocks the World by Announcing He’s Gay

Remember Lance Bass? No, you know who I’m talking about, the guy from N’Sync! No, not Justin Timberlake, the other one. No, not the guy with the hair that looks like palm fronds. No, not the guy with the tattoos, he was a Backstreet Boy. No, not the creepy older guy who looked like he had a drinking problem. Yea, the guy who wanted to go into space.

Surprise, he’s gay.

He recently spilled the beans to People magazine, shocking the world and breaking the hearts of 18-year old women who were fans of N’Sync when they were 12 and really should know better by now. Unbelievably, Bass is the first boy band member to say he was gay. There’s a lot of juicy tidbits in the linked article above, including Bass’s plans to put together an Odd-Couple style sitcom with fellow N’Syncer Joey Fatone. However, this has to be my favorite line in the article.

The band went on hiatus in 2002.

Sure thing, Lance, N’Sync is on “hiatus.”

Grand Slam

Tennis is a sport, and many claim it to be entertaining, so it would only make perfect sense that the leading man in the “sports entertainment” business, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, would build a $2.3 million indoor tennis facility 30 minutes away from my hometown for his mom, tennis enthusiast Vicky Askew.

Covered in Johnstown’s Tribune-Democrat:

EBENSBURG — It’s Christmas in July, as the saying goes, and the gift is a brand
new $2.3 million indoor-outdoor tennis center.Santa, so to speak, is wrestling
executive Vince McMahon, founder of World Wrestling Entertainment. He is paying
for the facility in honor of his mother, tennis buff Vicky Askew, who lives in
Ebensburg.

No word on whether the grudge, 3-set match between Carol “Killer Krochet” Valowski, 78 of Nanty Glo, and Jean “Wrinkled Fury” Chapman, 82 of Altoona, will take place in a steel cage.
